Will NVIDIA Q2 FY2027 Revenue Top $92B? Horary Case File #001

RESULT UPDATE — August 26, 2026: CORRECT. NVIDIA reported $96.2 billion in fiscal Q2 FY2027 revenue, exceeding the fixed $92.0 billion threshold used in this Horary Case File by $4.2 billion.

This Case File was originally published before NVIDIA's results were known. The original horary reasoning and recorded prediction have been preserved below; the status, verified outcome, and postmortem have now been added.

Will NVIDIA's Q2 FY2027 revenue exceed $92 billion? My horary judgment is YES—but with moderate-low confidence. The chart contains a striking contradiction: NVIDIA itself looks weak, while the planet representing its revenue looks considerably stronger.

This is Horary Case File #001, a prospective judgment recorded before NVIDIA's results were known. The question became clear to me on August 22, 2026 at 5:22 PM PDT in Henderson, Nevada.

My prediction was fixed: NVIDIA will report more than $92.0 billion in fiscal Q2 revenue. I expected any beat to be relatively modest rather than an extraordinary upside surprise. My confidence was approximately 6/10.

The Question and the $92 Billion Threshold

NVIDIA was scheduled to release its second-quarter fiscal 2027 results on August 26, 2026.

NVIDIA's official outlook for the quarter was $91.0 billion in revenue, plus or minus 2%. That placed the upper end of management's stated range at approximately $92.82 billion.

Rather than allowing analyst expectations to move the target after this Case File was opened, I froze the judgment against one objective threshold:

Will NVIDIA report more than $92.0 billion in fiscal Q2 2027 revenue?

The settlement rule was established before the result:

  • More than $92.000 billion = YES
  • $92.000 billion or less = NO

That threshold was not changed after publication.

The underlying benchmark came directly from NVIDIA's official Q2 revenue outlook.

The Horary Chart

Horary chart for the question as it became clear on August 22, 2026 at 5:22 PM PDT in Henderson, Nevada, using Regiomontanus houses. The judgment on this page was recorded before NVIDIA's fiscal Q2 FY2027 results were known.

I judged this case primarily through traditional horary technique: the seven traditional planets, house rulership, essential and accidental condition, reception, applying and separating aspects, the Moon, derived houses, perfection, and supporting testimony such as the Part of Fortune.

Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Chiron, Lilith, Vertex, and the lunar nodes may appear in the chart, but they did not determine this classical judgment.

The Ascendant is 23°24 Capricorn. The Moon is 1°40 Capricorn and is not void of course. I considered the chart acceptable for judgment.

The Most Important Decision: Which House Represents NVIDIA?

The most consequential technical decision in this Case File was the house assignment.

I assigned NVIDIA to the 10th house.

The question was not whether I should buy NVIDIA, whether NVIDIA would make money for me personally, or whether I would enter into a transaction with the company. It was an objective question about the financial performance of a prominent public corporation.

For this case, I therefore used the 10th house to represent the public enterprise whose business performance was being judged.

The 10th-house cusp is Scorpio, making its traditional ruler Mars.

NVIDIA = Mars.

This choice was also the greatest source of uncertainty in my judgment. A legitimate alternative house assignment produced a substantially different answer, so I preserved that counterargument rather than hiding it.

For a deeper explanation of how planets become representatives of the people and matters in a horary chart, read what significators are in horary astrology and who represents whom.

NVIDIA Itself Looks Weak

Mars is at 7°38 Cancer in the 6th house.

Mars is in its fall in Cancer and is cadent.

That is not the condition I would expect from a chart describing effortless dominance. Mars instead suggests pressure, difficulty, weakness, or circumstances that restrict the company.

This was one reason I did not interpret the chart as showing an extraordinary blowout.

But there was a crucial distinction:

Mars represents NVIDIA. Mars does not directly represent NVIDIA's revenue.

NVIDIA's Revenue Is Jupiter

To judge the company's revenue, I turned to NVIDIA's money: the 2nd house counted from NVIDIA's 10th house.

The 2nd from the 10th is the radical 11th house.

The 11th-house cusp is Sagittarius, making Jupiter its traditional ruler.

Jupiter = NVIDIA's revenue.

This was the central contrast in the chart:

NVIDIA itself looks weak. Its revenue looks considerably stronger.

Why Jupiter Leaned Positive

Jupiter is at 11°47 Leo in the 7th house.

Jupiter does not possess overwhelming essential dignity here. It has only modest dignity by face, so I did not exaggerate its condition.

Accidentally, however, Jupiter is much more capable:

  • It is angular.
  • It is direct.
  • It is moving quickly.
  • It is not retrograde.
  • It is not combust.
  • It is not cadent.

Jupiter is approximately 18°08 from the Sun, placing it just outside the roughly 17° range commonly used in Lilly-style practice for being under the Sun's beams.

I did not predict the revenue result merely because Jupiter naturally signifies abundance. But once Jupiter already ruled the relevant money house, that symbolism became useful supporting testimony.

NVIDIA and Its Revenue: The Reception

Mars is in Cancer, the sign of Jupiter's exaltation.

In traditional reception language, Jupiter receives Mars by exaltation.

This did not establish the revenue result by itself, especially because Mars and Jupiter did not directly perfect an aspect.

It did, however, provide meaningful supporting testimony linking NVIDIA with the planet representing its revenue.

The Major Warning: The Moon Is Troubled

This was not a clean yes.

The Moon is at 1°40 Capricorn in the 12th house.

The Moon is in detriment and cadent, giving it a significantly weakened condition.

Its next major classical application was an opposition to Mars, NVIDIA's significator.

That was meaningful negative testimony.

However, Mars and the Moon also had mutual reception:

  • Mars is in Cancer, the Moon's domicile.
  • The Moon is in Capricorn, the sign of Mars's exaltation.

That reception mitigated the opposition but did not erase its difficulty.

My interpretation was therefore not:

“Everything about NVIDIA's quarter is positive.”

It was closer to:

“The company is under real pressure even while the revenue number itself remains comparatively strong.”

The Moon's Later Story Improves

After opposing Mars, the Moon continued through difficult testimony, including a square to Saturn.

Its final major classical application before leaving Capricorn was a square to Venus at 15°32 Libra.

Venus is in its own domicile and therefore essentially strong. The Moon in Capricorn is also received by Venus through the traditional daytime earth triplicity.

The aspect remained a square, so the resolution was not effortless. But the strength of Venus and the reception materially improved the final testimony.

That reinforced the broader pattern:

Difficulty first, followed by a more favorable resolution.

Supporting Testimony: The End of the Matter

As supporting testimony, I also considered the 4th house as the end of the matter.

The 4th-house cusp is Taurus, making Venus its ruler.

Venus is in Libra, its own domicile.

The Part of Fortune is also in Taurus and therefore reports to the same strong Venus.

I treated these as secondary testimonies rather than the primary reason for the forecast, but both strengthened the positive side of the chart.

The Testimony at a Glance

Testimony Reading
Mars in fall in Cancer Negative — NVIDIA itself is under pressure
Mars cadent Negative
Jupiter rules NVIDIA's revenue Primary revenue testimony
Jupiter angular Strong accidental capacity
Jupiter direct and fast Positive
Jupiter outside the traditional under-beams range used here Positive
Mars in Jupiter's exaltation Positive reception testimony
Moon detrimented and cadent Strong caution
Moon applying to opposition with Mars Negative — pressure or difficulty
Moon–Mars mutual reception Mitigates the opposition
Moon's final major application is to strong Venus with reception Improved final testimony after difficulty
Lord of the 4th Venus in domicile Strong positive supporting testimony
Part of Fortune ruled by strong Venus Positive secondary material testimony

The Strongest Argument Against My Prediction

A credible Case File should preserve the strongest argument against its own conclusion.

A traditional astrologer could reasonably assign NVIDIA to the 7th house as the external quesited rather than the 10th-house public corporation.

Under that framework:

  • NVIDIA would be represented by the Moon.
  • NVIDIA's revenue would be represented by Mercury, ruler of the turned 2nd house.

That interpretation was considerably more bearish.

Mercury is at 25°05 Leo, approximately 4°50 from the Sun and applying toward conjunction. Under traditional horary doctrine, Mercury is combust and seriously weakened.

That framework would have leaned toward NO.

I still preferred the 10th-house assignment because this question concerned the objective financial performance of a major public corporation rather than NVIDIA acting as my partner, opponent, buyer, seller, or other direct counterparty.

But this alternative was sufficiently legitimate that it materially reduced my confidence.

The house-assignment ambiguity was the main reason this was approximately a 6/10-confidence prediction rather than a high-confidence call.

My Recorded Judgment Before NVIDIA Reported

YES. I judge that NVIDIA will report more than $92.0 billion in fiscal Q2 FY2027 revenue.

I expected the beat, if correct, to be relatively modest rather than an extraordinary upside surprise.

That second statement was a qualitative expectation, not the settlement condition. There is no classical rule that allows me to convert Jupiter's condition into an exact modern revenue figure such as $93.2 billion.

The Case File was therefore graded on the fixed binary question:

More than $92.0 billion = correct.
$92.0 billion or less = incorrect.

I also separated this forecast from NVIDIA's stock-market reaction. A revenue beat does not automatically imply a positive market reaction. That would be a different question requiring its own judgment.

Outcome — Correct

Status: RESOLVED — PRIMARY JUDGMENT CORRECT.

On August 26, 2026, NVIDIA officially reported $96.2 billion in fiscal Q2 FY2027 revenue.

NVIDIA therefore exceeded the Case File's fixed $92.0 billion threshold by $4.2 billion.

The primary prediction was:

YES — NVIDIA will report more than $92.0 billion.

That judgment was CORRECT.

NVIDIA reported that quarterly revenue increased 18% from the previous quarter and 106% from a year earlier. The verified result can be found in NVIDIA's official fiscal Q2 FY2027 financial results.

Case File #001 Postmortem

The strongest part of the original judgment was the distinction between NVIDIA itself and NVIDIA's revenue.

NVIDIA's significator, Mars, was debilitated and cadent. That gave me genuine reason for caution.

But the question was not whether NVIDIA looked universally strong. It was specifically whether its revenue would exceed a fixed numerical threshold.

Under the house framework I chose, NVIDIA's revenue belonged to Jupiter—and Jupiter was materially stronger than Mars: angular, direct, fast, free from combustion, and connected to NVIDIA through reception.

That distinction ultimately pointed in the correct direction.

The strong Venus testimony at the end of the Moon's sequence and the strong ruler of the 4th also supported eventual positive resolution despite the substantial difficulty elsewhere in the chart.

What the Judgment Got Right

  • Direction: correct.
  • Fixed $92 billion threshold: correct.
  • Revenue stronger than the company significator: consistent with the reported result.
  • Positive resolution despite conflicting testimony: correct for the specific revenue question.

What the Judgment Underestimated

My secondary expectation was that the beat would be relatively modest.

That part was too conservative.

NVIDIA reported $96.2 billion—$4.2 billion above the fixed Case File threshold. I therefore would not describe the magnitude of the result as the narrow beat I had anticipated.

I am deliberately not retrofitting the chart and claiming that Jupiter predicted $96.2 billion. The original analysis explicitly acknowledged that traditional horary did not give me a defensible method for converting Jupiter's strength into an exact modern revenue figure.

The honest grade is therefore:

  • Primary YES/NO judgment: CORRECT
  • Revenue threshold: CORRECT
  • Expected magnitude: UNDERESTIMATED

The House-Assignment Question Still Matters

The successful result does not make the methodological uncertainty disappear.

Before the outcome, I explicitly documented a credible alternative approach that would have assigned NVIDIA to the 7th house and its revenue to Mercury. That framework leaned toward NO.

Because the 10th-house framework produced the correct directional judgment in this case, it is useful evidence for considering the 10th when judging the objective business performance of a major public corporation.

But one successful Case File does not establish a universal house-assignment rule.

Future public-company cases should continue to record the house logic before the result so the method can be tested across a larger sample rather than justified from a single successful outcome.

Final Grade: Case File #001

Primary prediction CORRECT
Predicted threshold >$92.0 billion
Actual revenue $96.2 billion
Difference above threshold $4.2 billion
Magnitude expectation Underestimated
Overall Case File status RESOLVED — CORRECT

What This Case Teaches About Horary Astrology

Case File #001 demonstrates why horary judgment cannot be reduced to one favorable planet or one difficult aspect.

The decisive work begins with selecting the appropriate houses and significators. From there, the astrologer must distinguish the condition of the company from the condition of its revenue, weigh contradictory testimony, examine reception and application, follow the Moon's sequence, and remain honest about alternative frameworks.

It also demonstrates why prospective Case Files matter. The house assignment, confidence level, prediction, counterargument, and settlement threshold were all recorded before the result was known.

The result can therefore be compared with the original judgment rather than reconstructed afterward.

About Horary Case Files

Horary Case Files document real questions judged through traditional horary astrology.

Whenever possible, prospective Case Files are published before the outcome is known so the original prediction can later be compared directly with what happened.

Successful predictions, failed predictions, ambiguous results, and timing errors all belong in the archive. The purpose is not to manufacture perfect accuracy. It is to preserve the reasoning, test it against reality, and learn from the result.
